EcoRep Club

EcoRep菠菜网lol正规平台The EcoReps mission is to involve a diverse group of students in educating the campus and community on environmental sustainability. Through collaborative efforts on campus sustainability initiatives and community outreach events, we hope to encourage long-lasting social and environmental stewardship.

Environmental Resource Center [ENVS 181]

Tuesdays and Thursdays 12-1:15pm in WSQ 115

ERC菠菜网lol正规平台The Environmental Resource Center (ERC) was established in 1967 and soon became the student activist wing of the Environmental Studies Department.  Since the early 1970s, the ERC has served 菠菜网lol正规平台 with an annual Earth Day celebration, an environmental library, and other projects that promote sustainability.  Students in the ERC started the campus recycling program and an alternative commute planning program that ultimately became Transportation Solutions, which is now a permanent department of Associated Students.  

Campus Community Garden

In 2014, the 菠菜网lol正规平台 Campus Community Garden was established as a result of a student-led initiative. The garden was created to provide students a space to gain access to health food, learn about sustainable organic garden practices and earn service learning hours. The community garden is chemical free (organic) which means that they do not use any pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.

Climate Reality Campus Corps

Join the 菠菜网lol正规平台 Climate Reality Campus Corps, a community where you can collaborate with fellow sustainably focused 菠菜网lol正规平台 students. The Campus Corps program offers a chance to make a difference in climate reality, starting in the college dormitories, classrooms, and campus quads.

She's the First 菠菜网lol正规平台shes the first logo

Independent San Jose State University chapter of She’s the First, a not-for profit organization that sponsors girls’ education in low-income countries.  
She's the First partners with NGOs in 11 countries--India, Nepal, Guatemala, Peru, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, The Gambia, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Sierra Leone--to help young girls become the first to complete high school. "When you sponsor a girl, you give her the chance to live healthier, delay marriage and childbirth, resist domestic violence, secure a better job, earn higher wages, and break the cycle of poverty."

Women Wellness Club 

A women’s club to promote a healthy lifestyle. Work together through meetings and events to create an enriching social community and networking spaces for all. Women Wellness will work to create and uphold a social community where students can come together and share their ideas and experiences for a healthy life. Our mission is to support an overall healthy lifestyle that includes physical, psychological, emotional, and professional self care.

Outdoor Adventures

Weekends are for creating memories, making new friends and going on adventures. Spartan Recreation offers students the chance to participate in epic Outdoor Adventures like hiking, camping, surfing, rock climbing, and mountain biking. All outings are led by student leaders and local experts who are ready to share their passion and outdoor knowledge with you. No matter your experience level, you won’t find a more welcoming group to wander, connect and grow with.
